AV Fistula Creation

av fistula Sanjay hospitalAV fistula creation is different from the treatment of AV fistula. The vascular surgeon artificially creates AV Fistula to use in dialysis. The vascular surgeon connects an artery and vein. It is often done in the arm, not in the leg. With the help of the AV fistula creation, the blood flows from the artery to the vein of the arm. In this way, the veins are enlarged to provide a good hemodialysis treatment.

Arteriovenous graft (AV graft) connects a vein to an artery. A plastic tube is used to heal its surrounding tissue. The graft enhances blood circulation during dialysis. In this way, the time period is shortened. An AV graft requires that the patient will take care of the access point himself. Otherwise, there can come other complications. There are three types of dialysis access that come in the category of AV graft: Radio cephalic fistula, brochio cephalic fistula and brochio Basile fistula.
