Bone fractures are disruptions which form’s a crack or break in the continuity of the structure. Fracture occurrences are mainly due to the high amount of force exerted against the structurally withstanding ability of the bone.

Symptoms of Fractures of the bone

Indications of the condition are as follows:

• A troublesome feeling of the limb or joint being out of place 
• Swelling or bruise in or around the affected area 
• High and Intense pain 
• Limiting the mobility or inability to move
• Numbness and tingling feeling

Treatment for Fractures of the bone

The Doctor makes the diagnosis based on the x-rays, MRI scans and CT scans. The following are the treatments administered:

• Splints
• Braces     
• Plaster cast 
• Traction 
• Surgery to insert metal rods and plates to hold the bone together. The bone needs to recover fully to enable flexible movement.
